Design Team Coordinator
This is Megan's fourth term with Crop Addict.
Hello!
My name is Megan Smith and I live in Portland, Oregon where I moved in June 2008 from my hometown of Hudson, Ohio with my husband of six years, Andrew, and our adorable golden retriever, Chase.
I graduated from the University of Dayton in 2003 with my BS in Business Administration. I worked in advertising as an account executive for a couple years before working as Business Manager for my father’s orthodontic practice in my hometown. I remained in the dental field and now work as the Business Manager for a local dental practice where I have been employed since the end of July 2008.
I am an avid scrapper and spend as much time as possible scrapping or looking in magazines and online for inspiration. I have been scrapping in one form or another since high school (about 16 years), but really didn't evolve to the scrapping style I have now until a few years ago. This is when I discovered scrapping was more than just patterned paper, stickers and markers.
My style tends to be clean and linear with a little eclectic flair. I tend to scrap in 12x12 format because I want the most space possible to tell my story! I also have no problem creating spreads and do so often because I like multi-photo layouts. I am totally obsessed with patterned paper, chipboard and acrylic stamps. I found scrapping because I wanted a special way to preserve my photos as photography was my first passion. My scrapping philosophy is that the photos and journaling are first and foremost on the page and everything else should compliment these two elements. I also am very happy to be able to say I have been published several times as well.
